Becca Hollis | El Dorado Animal Hospital Fountain Hills and Near Scottsdale

Becca Hollis, Practice Manager

I am an Arizona native with a passion for helping others and their pets. Although I have a love for all animals, cats hold a special place in my heart. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Administration from Northern Arizona University in 2018. When I joined the El Dorado team in 2016, I never envisioned myself making a career in the veterinary field, but after working as a receptionist I fell in love with the patients, clients and learning about veterinary medicine. I was promoted from Customer Care Representative to Front Office Manager, and I am now the Practice Manager at El Dorado Animal Hospital. I live with my husband and together we have three cats at home; Butters, winner of the 2020 Arizona Pet Project Survivor of the Year Award, a himalayan mixed breed kitty named Sebastian, and a Sphynx named Chicken Nugget. In my spare time I enjoy going to concerts, traveling and watching TV.

Jessica Tuohy | Medical Team Manager

Jessica Tuohy, Medical Team Manager

I grew up in Yuma, Arizona. I started riding horses when I was just 5 years old. We spent a lot of time at the barn which is where I was introduced to 4-H. I spent a lot of time with animals growing up so I always knew veterinary medicine is where I belonged. I moved to Tempe in 2012 and graduated from the veterinary assistant program at Pima Medical Institute in February 2015 after completing my Veterinary Assisting externship at VCA Mesa Animal Hospital in December of 2014. Over the years I learned to love the outdoors even more. I enjoy finding new hiking trails with friends, exploring new restaurants and breweries. Finding new coffee spots through the valley is my favorite Sunday activity. Fountain Hills has been my home since 2017 and I have three cats at home named Penelope, Katnip and Harrison.

Emily Choy | Certified Veterinary Technician

Emily Choy, Certified Veterinary Technician

I was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona where from a young age, I knew that my life would be surrounded by animals. My parents operated a dog rescue and our home base was full of not just our family of 6 and 5 dogs, but also as many fosters we could fit in. My world growing up was heavily influenced by dogs, but since joining this field 6 years ago, I have fallen in love with all things cats. Throughout school and the early years of being a Vet Tech, I fostered kittens with my local rescue. I loved it so much and hope to have more space in my life to get back into it again soon. I graduated from the Veterinary Technician program with my Associate’s degree from Pima Medical Institute and have passed the state and national boards to maintain and hold my CVT license. Today, my husband, 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 bearded dragon, and I live in the east valley. We love to adventure outdoors and find new places to love in my home state.

Lizzy James, Technician

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska with a strong Italian family background. My grandfather was a second generation immigrant from Sicily and moved to America in 1907. In 2007, I moved to Arizona on my own where I attended Pima Medical Institute shortly after to become a Veterinary Technician and graduated in 2009. Since graduating, I have worked in veterinary hospitals throughout the valley, and I joined the El Dorado team in 2020. I have 4 pets at home, two Great Danes named Stana and Ramsay, two cats who I rescued as kittens from the streets, Garfield and Hilton. When I am not working at El Dorado Animal Hospital, I spend most of my time raising my son. I enjoy hiking all around Arizona, riding motorcycles, traveling, camping, painting, enjoying the beaches of California, baking and cooking my famous family Italian foods, off-roading in Arizona desert trails and visiting family back home in the midwest. I have always had a passion for animals since at a very young age when I owned an Arabian horse and would visit the farm. I am greatly influenced by the medical field from my mother working at the hospital. I pursued the veterinary field because of passion for animals and helping them.

Victoria Hammond, Technician

Growing up as a military child, I’m from a little bit of everywhere. I was born in New Mexico, raised in Arizona, and spent my teenage years in Alabama. I grew up with cats and have loved animals all my life, though I never expected to join the veterinary field. I joined the United States Air Force a couple of years after graduating high school. I did my training in Texas, Mississippi, and Missouri, eventually being stationed in Louisiana. I discovered my passion for helping animals while at my duty station and made the decision to separate from the military and pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician. I attended school at the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in Texas. I moved back to Arizona after graduation where I did my externship at Banfield Pet Hospital and worked there for about a year and a half. Today I am loving life as a Veterinary Technician and being a part of the El Dorado team. Outside of work I enjoy reading, hiking trails, day trips to other towns/cities, and spending time with my sweet pup Chloe.

Jenna Roller, Customer Care Representative

I am originally from Indiana, but grew up in the Scottsdale area. Before I joined El Dorado in March 2019, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Arizona and worked as a nanny and photographer. I currently live in Mesa with my boyfriend and our two shih tzus, Penny and Graham. My favorite thing to do is read (especially in the rain!), but I also love home improvement projects, escape rooms, and spending time with my family. I consider my dogs to be my babies and I believe that every pet deserves the best veterinary care. I enjoy being one of the first people you talk to when you call El Dorado, answering questions and being that friendly voice when you might be worried about your pet.

Sarah Sitz | Customer Care Representative

Sarah Sitz, Customer Care Representative

I am originally from a small town in Minnesota but I have lived in Arizona since the young age of three. From a very early age I realized my love of animals and have been involved with everything from rescuing and rehabilitating injured wildlife to volunteering at animal rescues. I have had many of my own pets and other critters such as horses, goats, chickens and even a cow. I have continued my love and passion for animals, especially horses, and have found a happy life working in the veterinary field. My background is in emergency medicine, but I have found great joy working with all the patients and clients at El Dorado Animal Hospital since I joined the team in July 2019. I have two “fur babies” at home, a spoiled little tabby cat named Orion and a white three-legged husky named Zeppelin. I enjoy traveling and anything outdoors, such as hiking, camping and fishing, and I enjoy photography. I am a huge movie fanatic and love to build and create with LEGOs.
